Community Crime Prevention Dialog Session

A truly deep, thorough, minutely detailed and most importantly reassuring excellent crime prevention dialogue session initiated by YB Teresa Kok who roped in PDRM BRICKFIELDS & the Taman OUG Inhabitants to participate @ Yoke Nam School, Taman OUG 🫡 👮🏻‍♂️ This was speedily organised in urgent view of the 2 recent cases of snatch theft and 1 unfortunate murder fatality involving a senior citizen aged 80. An eye opening informative dialogue session right from "the get go" after the warm and ever inviting introductory speech by our YB Teresa Kok. Tuan ACP AMIHIZAM ABDUL SHUKOR, OCPD BRICKFIELDS started off brilliantly by firing on all cylinders, detailing the crime index in 'our kawasan' which is surprisingly low vis a vis to our populace 😳 He further reassured all present that PDRM is constantly "on the ball" 24/7 and is moving closely on the ground with their numerous innovative and people friendly initiatives. Examples are the Balai Polis Bergerak stationed at OUG morning market area, police personnel in half uniform / half mufti (civilian attire) exercising gleefully in unison with the local residents during their morning workouts, increased frequent patrols by both 🚨🚔 and motorcycles etc just to name a few. Tuan urged everyone to download a very vital application by the name of Volunteer Smartphone Patrol VSP in short on our mobile phones, to feed any suspicious potential crime related information to the police for immediate action to be taken as the eyes and ears for them (PDRM). Alternatively just dial 999 It is free and the government spends approximately 20 Million Ringgit yearly to keep it up and running...hence use it folks without batting an eyelid ! Immediate relevant crime data was instantly furnished by Tuan DSP Seah Chong Seng, Ketua Bahagian Pencegahan Jenayah Keselamatan Komuniti, IPD BRICKFIELDS who was in tow with Tuan Inspector OCS Aaron from Balai Brickfields in addition to heads from Balai Petaling and Sri Petaling who came well prepared with their log books and diaries🥇 Questions from the floor were taken with ease and throughly answered by our proud men in blue 😌 🏆 The evening ended with all present feeling a sense of confidence and braveness again, to venture out from our homes returning to our local community, thanks to the explicit and reassuring message given by Tuan ACP, OCPD BRICKFIELDS. Satu lagi usaha murni oleh Exco Kawasan Rukun Tetangga Taman Yarl yang telah berjaya memupuk semangat kejiranan, keharmonian dan silaturahim di kalangan masyarakat berbilang bangsa dihari yang begitu bermakna kepada semua terutamanya "Hari Guru Purnima" yang kebetulan jatuh pada hari ini untuk kaum India. Preschool Sports Day 🥳

It was truly a blast from the past nostalgically for me today, as I was invited to officiate at the Fourteenth Preschool Sports Day, representing the honourable office of The Member of Parliament for SEPUTEH, YB TERESA KOK at SJK(T) LADANG BUKIT JALIL. 44/50, cute little ones, from ages 5 & 6 were present for this 3 hour event with almost all their excited parents in tow; hankering, fussing & acting anxiously silly over their equally excited & some - clueless ones. We were ready and all geared, for our 'Mini Olympics' - away, thousands of miles, from Paris. I vividly remember my kinder - garten glorious, carefree years where I was schooled for two years instead of one as the normality then at Saint Michael's Kindergarten, Sentul. I also proudly shared how, through sports...bonds and everlasting friendships are made, sealed and developed over the years both at school and thereafter in adulthood. Sports unites, teaches us discipline, time keeping, physical strength, mental alertness, self confidence, team spirit and camaraderie, gives us immense satisfaction and competitive pleasure just to name a few. Sports increases our happy hormones serotonin & dopamine to ensure you're constantly happy and gay! After the initial formalities in singing our beloved national anthem Negara Ku, followed by the welcoming speech by the PIBG Chairman, Mr.Arunmoli, the '14th Sukaneka Prasekolah' SJK(T) LBJ was declared open to the thunderous applause of all present followed by the release of 30 colourful balloons, up to the sky - signifying that in sports, the sky is the limit! SJK(T) Ladang Bukit Jalil 50th Sports Day!

The morning sun and natural light, helps your body produce vitamin D which in turn is crucial for immune and bone health/development. It also boosts cognitive performances and focus encompassing all under it's powerful glance 🌞 Therefore, at 0800H on a fine sunny morning, under the mild glowing rays of the ever powerful, glorious & radiant rising sun, 248 aspiring primary school students from SJK(T) Ladang Bukit Jalil were all excited and game to take part in their golden jubilee sports day held at the prestigious world class Bukit Jalil Stadium that hosted the XVI-th Commonwealth Games way back in the last millennium. YB Teresa Kok sportingly officiated at today's event, and graciously donated RM3000.00 towards their kitty in organising. Being a role model sports enthusiast and buff herself, she religiously exercises on a daily basis and always offers moderate health lifestyle tips to her audience. She spoke about the little projects for this school she has embarked on in support, which is close to her heart upon seeing the crucial and pressing need. Examples being the free food aid programme ie. project zero hunger, free milk distribution programme to compliment the RMT (Rancangan Makanan Tambahan) provided to some B40 students by the ministry of education and the free Mandarin tutorial class coming up next in two weeks fully sponsored by her ..... Pusat Khidmat SEPUTEH. Sports is colour blind and transcends race, creed, religion and gender.
