Preschool Sports Day 🥳

It was truly a blast from the past nostalgically for me today, as I was invited to officiate at the Fourteenth Preschool Sports Day, representing the honourable office of The Member of Parliament for SEPUTEH, YB TERESA KOK at SJK(T) LADANG BUKIT JALIL. 44/50, cute little ones, from ages 5 & 6 were present for this 3 hour event with almost all their excited parents in tow; hankering, fussing & acting anxiously silly over their equally excited & some - clueless ones. We were ready and all geared, for our 'Mini Olympics' - away, thousands of miles, from Paris. I vividly remember my kinder - garten glorious, carefree years where I was schooled for two years instead of one as the normality then at Saint Michael's Kindergarten, Sentul. I also proudly shared how, through sports...bonds and everlasting friendships are made, sealed and developed over the years both at school and thereafter in adulthood. Sports unites, teaches us discipline, time keeping, physical strength, mental alertness, self confidence, team spirit and camaraderie, gives us immense satisfaction and competitive pleasure just to name a few. Sports increases our happy hormones serotonin & dopamine to ensure you're constantly happy and gay! After the initial formalities in singing our beloved national anthem Negara Ku, followed by the welcoming speech by the PIBG Chairman, Mr.Arunmoli, the '14th Sukaneka Prasekolah' SJK(T) LBJ was declared open to the thunderous applause of all present followed by the release of 30 colourful balloons, up to the sky - signifying that in sports, the sky is the limit!
